Drugged to the gills - The TrackTalk Community
Possibly the greatest publicly available resource on PEDs. Yes, it is long, but you will learn something with every post. At the very least, read this post by Zat0pek. This thread about the 2013 Monaco meet where Mo Farah ran 3:28 for 1500m and the subsequent exasperation of the biggest T&F fans in the world is also quite good.

The Secret Race - Tyler Hamilton
Hamilton's autobiography chronicles life on cycling circuit at its dirtiest time as well as lampoons Lance Armstrong. He description of doping methodology is quite interesting. Prior to reading, I (Bryan) knew cyclists were crazy, but Hamilton still managed to turn my view of them upside down.

Juiced - Jose Canseco
Yup. Jose Canseco's book is worth your time. I (Bryan) read this right when it came out in 2005. No one believed Canseco at first and as more information came to light, he was shown to be right time and time again.

NCAA

The System - Jeff Benedict and Armen Keteyian
A good look into the way big-time college football programs operate.

Meet the Bag Man - Steve Godfrey
SBNation longform interview about buying college football recruits.

Schooled: The Price of College Sports - Epix
Documentary about the business of college sports and the treatment of NCAA athletes

Pony Excess - ESPN Films
30 for 30 about SMU getting the death penalty and recruiting stories from the 1980s.

Miscellaneous

Ball Four - Jim Bouton
The first sports autobiography and the first look into what life as an athlete really entails.
