About Us

Doped Up was started in August of 2013 by Bryan Holtzman and Fritz Parker. It aims to discuss the use of performance enhancing drugs across a wide variety of sports and to explore the intersection of PEDs, sports culture, and real life.

Bryan Holtzman is a 2014 graduate of Middlebury College. He served as a captain of the track and field teams and majored in biochemistry. His interests include track and field, listening to sports radio, cooking, and maps. He has never taken a performance enhancing drug. Bryan can be reached at bryan dot holtzman at gmail dot com.

Fritz Parker is a recent graduate of  Middlebury College where he studied English and Economics. Fritz also served as a captain of the Middlebury track and field team. He was  sports editor for the Middlebury Campus -- the college's student newspaper -- and was a founding editor of Middlebury Sports Magazine. Fritz went to St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., where he played football and ran track.

Fritz's interests include college football, pretentious literature, DC sports and telling Bryan that he is wrong. He has never taken a performance enhancing drug and has been tested for performance enhancing drugs by the NCAA.

Bryan and Fritz met in September of 2010 during Fritz's recruiting visit to Middlebury. Despite Bryan's best attempts to make the school seem unappealing, Fritz decided to attend anyways. While teaming up for Middlebury school records in three different relays on the track, Bryan and Fritz have astounded their teammates with their constant sports bickering and creepy ability to recall useless stats. They also twice shared a bed for a week on their yearly training trip.
